These FAQs provide answers to basic questions about YenZek.

 

What is YenZek?

YenZek is a mobile messaging service that allows you to connect with people around the world who aren’t in your contacts.

 

Who is YenZek for?

YenZek is for everyone who wants to meet new people, make new friends. You will be able to join groups and meet new people regularly.

How is YenZek different from existing messaging apps?

As a messaging service, YenZek offers more than just allowing you to keep in touch with your existing contacts. It allows you to create new ones by giving you a space for you to share your voice with the world and be heard by many people instantly.

Will anyone have access to my phone number?

No. Your phone number will always be hidden from users on the app, even if someone gets added to your list of friends or contacts.

What happens when I change my phone number?

Your old YenZek number will be deleted. However, all your chats will be retained along with their media on your account. Nothing will happen to them. Once you change the number in the app, you will not see any difference on your end on the messenger side. Your new number will simply be linked to all the information associated with your account. If you happen to be in a different country, then you will start hearing voices from other users within the country you’re in.


Where can I find my phone number?

The change number feature allows you to change the phone number associated with your YenZek account on the same or a new phone. Before changing your phone number:

  • Make sure your new phone number can receive SMS or phone calls and has an active cellular connection.

  • Make sure your old phone number is currently registered on YenZek. You can find your registered phone number by opening YenZek, then tapping (“top left icon on the home screen”)  > Settings> tap “ Account” or tap your profile photo.


How can I delete my account?

Delete Account

You can permanently delete your account on YenZek by deleting the account from the registered mobile phone.

  • YenZek must be actively working on your phone to make changes to the account. You can not make changes to an account that is not registered to your phone.

  • Deletion requests are not accepted outside of the registered app because there is no way to accurately verify whether or not a number is truly associated with the requester.

Deleting your account will erase all data associated with your account from our system such as your account history, name, username, email, phone number, posts, pictures, messaging history, group chats, and other data types that are connected to the profile of your account.

Android

Follow steps to no longer be seen as a YenZek user:

  1. In YenZek, tap your profile. Then on the far top right tap the three bars which will lead you to your Account > Advanced >  Delete my Account.

  2. Enter your YenZek number.

  3. Tap Delete my account.

  4. Confirm Delete my account.

iOS

Follow steps to no longer be seen as a YenZek user and delete your message history on this iPhone:

  1. In YenZek, tap your profile. Then on the far top right tap the three bars which will lead you to your Account > Advanced >  Delete my Account.

  2. Enter your YenZek number.

  3. Tap Delete my account.

  4. Confirm Delete my account.
